What is home styling, and how is it different from staging?
It’s the process of presenting a home in a way that highlights its best features and appeals to the broadest pool of buyers. Our design team brings furniture, art, and accessories into our clients’ homes to create spaces that buyers can envision themselves living in. Home styling is a great way to overcome certain objections in a home and showcase how rooms can best be used.

Home styling is NOT personal interior design. It is a temporary design project that’s all about making a space appeal to the broadest audience of buyers, while interior decorating is about personalizing a space to a client's specific taste. In actuality, home styling + staging and decorating are at opposite ends of the design service spectrum. Home styling is a one-stop process, installed in one day, and does not involve any customization or personalization for the owner.

The selection and placement of artwork, furniture, and accessories may not be to your taste, but this is OK! We’ve created spaces that the camera will love so that the presentation is well-received by the widest audience possible.

Not necessarily. Staging or styling to sell is different because it focuses on what a potential buyer will look for rather than personal taste. Interior decorating for a client focuses on personal taste so the two processes are very different. The end goals of the two are different as well. A home can be gorgeous but still benefit from staging.

Staging an occupied home is a different process. We call it repurposing: working with furniture and belongings you already own, bringing in select pieces from our inventory, and redesigning rooms around what's there. It usually means editing, packing, and moving things — sometimes into storage.
You'll get an itemized list of what needs to be packed, two complimentary hours with our moving crew, and if you'd rather not do the packing and organizing yourself, we can handle that for a fee.

No. Your home will need to be cleaned prior to the staging day. It is generally a good idea to have your home professionally cleaned prior to going on the market so doing it before the staging and photos makes the most sense.
